WHAT IS THE LITTLE BIG BIKE & SKILLS CLINIC?

The Little Big Bike Festival and Skills Clinics take place at the Truckee Bike Park in Truckee, California. The event caters to all ages, disciplines, and skill levels of mountain biking encouraging riders of all kinds to participate. The festival features a women’s only clinic and a two hour kids group clinic. Additionally, the festival includes Men’s and Women’s Amateur and Pro dual slalom and dual pump track races. There will be a strider/pump track jam for kids, jump jam for all ages as well as Men’s and Women’s Amateur and Pro FMB Bronze Jump competitions. 

 

Proceeds of the event go directly into The Truckee Bike Park.

 

The Little Big Bike Festival is excited to be a Freeride Mountain Bike (FMB) Bronze event for men and women. This is the first year FMB has sanctioned a Jump Competition for Rookies (girls and boys 11-17) and Women. The Little Big Bike Festival will be one of three events of  The Women’s Slopestyle Tour that starts with the Sugar Showdown in Seattle, WA, then on to the Big White Invitational in Kelowna, BC. and finally ending with the Little Big Bike Festival in Truckee, CA.

EVENT ORGANIZERS

Cortney Knudson, Brooks McMullin, and Biking for a Better World are putting on The Little Big Bike Festival for the 7th year and continue to donate their time to put on this community event. The Little Bike Big Festival was the brainchild of Cortney & Brooks - who after building the first phases of the Truckee Bike Park, wanted to give MORE to the biking community as a way of celebrating & raising money for the park.

 

*****There is no onsite registration for the jump competitions.*****

*Amateur FMB athletes boys and girls ages 11-17 (Juniors) and men and women ages 18 and up who have never participated in an FMB event must ride the amateur course. All athletes must register online for The Little Big Bike Festival AND must go to the FMB website in order to pre-register for the cumulative point system.  All riders must ride in the pre-qualification process to be accepted to the jump competition. All riders must enter the pre-qualification (time and location TBA) in order to practice for the jump competition course. The course will be closed and open ONLY to qualified athletes. There is no onsite registration for the jump competitions. Check the FMB website  for rules and regulations.

 

*Pro FMB athletes women and men must be 18+.  All Women must register online for The Little Big Bike Festival AND must go to the FMB website in order to preregister for the cumulative point system.
